We’re a small church in Lydney, Gloucestershire.  We are now based at The Victoria Centre nearby on Victoria Road, Lydney, Gloucester, GL15 5DG.

This is a season of significant change for us as a church and if  you are hoping to find a more non-traditional church community slowly growing out of an existing traditional congregation this might be the place for you.

Our focus is on the importance of being a healthy and generous community with a commitment to following all the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Our service style has always been traditional but relaxed.  We have a variety of regular speakers, occasionally sharing in worship with other churches in the town with particularly close ties to the United Reformed Church and the Methodists.

We are enjoying the experience of being shaken up by the Holy Spirit (although we freely admit this can be a tad uncomfortable at times) and learning to discern God’s voice together.

If Sundays don’t work for you or you simply want to know more or need help, contact Revd Alison Griffiths on 0785 701 6216 or email: alishawgriffiths@gmail.com.

We are members of the Baptist Union of Great Britain http://www.baptist.org.uk and the West of England Baptist Association http://www.webassoc.org.uk/. We are also active members of the Churches Together in Lydney group and the Forest of Dean Baptists group.

    1. Hi Anthony. Thanks for your interest and I’m sorry for the delay in replying. We are applying to turn part of the church building into houses or flats but the front part of the ground floor of the existing church building will be retained for use as a church. It means that affordable housing will be available to Lydney in a convenient location and that the church overheads will be considerably lower. Also the area that will still belong to the church will be in much better order and more useful for other community activities as well as worship. Ali
